Massachusetts casinos are gearing up for the 2021 holiday season.
MGM Springfield, Plainridge Park Casino and Encore Boston Harbor are offering exciting gaming events, performances and dining promotions for a limited time.

Casinos in Massachusetts will bring plenty of cheer this holiday season despite an ongoing pandemic. Here are the special promotions at area casinos available for a short time only.
MGM Springfield
MGM Springfield started its Dashing to The Dough promotion on Nov. 28, which runs through Jan. 1. $400,000 worth of prizes will be split between 280 total players. Included in the prizes are four new cars.
Drawings will happen every Saturday in Dec. between 4 pm-10 pm and one Grand Prize will be awarded at the end of the drawing at 10 pm.
Members of M life Rewards will get one drawing entry for every 100 Tier Credits earned from table play or every 50 slot points earned.
Another MGM Springfield holiday play promotion is the Holiday Hot Seat. Drawings will be on Thursdays in Dec. every half hour between 6:30 pm and 10 pm.
Patrons who visit during these times can qualify for the drawings by earning 50 Tier Credits in table play or 24 points of slot pay.
Encore Boston Harbor
Encore also has exciting holiday play promotions. They’ve kicked off their $100,000 Season of Winning on Dec. 1, which goes through Dec. 26. Cash prizes up to $25,000 and free slot and table play can be won by members who enter.
In addition, Encore will give away Holiday Mystery Gifts every Monday in Dec. Members can win electronics, appliances, or Patriots branded gifts for every 100 points earned in slot play.
Unique dining experiences at Encore
Encore Boston Harbor is bringing out the holiday spirit with decadent dining specials throughout the season.
Special season-inspired meals from Rare Steakhouse’s Executive Chef Kyle Bradish and Red 8’s Chef Richard Chen will be available on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
Dining specials include 3 and 5-course meals at Rare Steakhouse or Cantonese-inspired spreads at Red8.
Special events and performances
MGM Springfield is providing for an eventful holiday season following their annual tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 26.
They’ve officially opened the Holiday Winter Wonderland at Armory Square, which includes an outdoor skating rink. The rink will be open from Wednesday to Sunday until Jan. 2.
TAP Sports Bar offers a special to-go menu at the skating rink and a light and music show will display on the Christmas tree every hour.
MGM Springfield is also hosting several holiday performances:
- Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular on Dec. 10
- Amir K and Kevin Farley at Roar Comedy Club on Dec. 4 and Dec. 18, respectively
- Broadways Rock Of Ages Band will ring in the New Year on Dec. 31 at the Aria Ballroom.
Plainridge Park is getting in the holiday spirit by hosting the Flutie Foundation’s Holiday Spectacular Benefit Concert at Flutie’s Pub on Dec. 9.
This year’s Benefit Concert includes a performance by America’s Got Talent winner, Kodi Lee. Tickets can be purchased in-person for $25 each, or register to watch live streaming of the event for free.
