The last time GGR was lower than last month’s was in January 2022, when the total was $82.4 million. The $22.9 million paid that month in taxes was the last time the figure was lower than what was paid last month.
Slot play was again the most popular form of activity in the casinos, with nearly two-thirds (65%) of revenue coming from that activity in January ($60.9 million). Table games accounted for $32.6 million at the two casinos that offer it: Encore and MGM.
