NFL free agency is just a few days away, and Patriots fans are still clueless as to who will be their starting quarterback in 2020.
Two weeks ago, DraftKings and FanDuel sportsbooks both pulled their respective “Brady Next Team” odds because of growing speculation that he was going to leave New England.
You’ll remember that was the morning that reporter Jeff Darlington went on ESPN’s “Get Up” and said he’d be stunned if Brady returned to the Pats. The Boston Herald’s Karen Guregian and NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Curran also had reports that day that were skeptical about a TB12 return to Foxboro.
Since then, the Brady saga has taken many different twists and turns. There was the Brady – Julian Edelman Syracuse basketball game moment, the weeklong chatter that the 49ers were interested in the six-time Super Bowl winner, and most recently – the noise that the Buccaneers were ready to go “all-in” on Brady.
The Tom Brady odds then
Here were the Brady odds from DraftKings on the morning of Feb. 27, right before Darlington went on ESPN:
Cowboys, Buccaneers +2000
Broncos, Steelers +5000
Lions, Saints +6600
Jaguars, Vikings, Giants, Eagles, Redskins +7000
Rams, Jets, 49ers +8000
Falcons, Bills, Bengals, Browns, Packers +10000
Cardinals, Ravens, Texans +25000
As you can see, the 49ers are nowhere close to the top of this list as they were hanging out with the Rams and Jets at +8000.
The Tom Brady odds now
Fast forward two weeks, though, and San Francisco and Tampa Bay are legit players. The non-Patriots favorites, in fact.
The Chargers’ odds have improved, moving from to +1600 to +650. The Raiders have stayed put at +900. And the Titans have tumbled from +700 to +1000.
Here are FanDuel’s odds for Brady today (DraftKings has still not put their Brady odds back up).

Los Angeles Chargers +650
