Barstool Sportsbook will go offline for a short period of time starting on Sunday, July 9.
The platform will go offline in order to launch a “new and improved Barstool Sportsbook” sometime next week.
Founded in Massachusetts, Barstool was among the first sportsbook operators to go live in the commonwealth when MA online sports betting launched earlier this year.
Barstool Sportsbook Massachusetts app updates
Barstool notified its users of this upgrade via email on Friday night.
“Over the last year, our team has been working hard to build a new and improved Barstool Sportsbook,” the company said. “Next week we will be launching the new Barstool Sportsbook, which is loaded with additional features to upgrade your betting experience.”
Those features include:
- Faster load times for deposits and withdrawals
- More player props
- More Barstool Sportsbook Massachusetts exclusives
- Seamless navigation search for any betting market
- Enhanced promotions
- Deeply integrated into theScore media app
According to the company, the more deeply integrated media and betting experience will allow users to better build their betslip and follow their betting activity. In addition, the upgrades will help users get live matchup markets and unique promotions — all from right within theScore app.
Not expected to be offline long
In order to complete the upgrade, the platform will go offline beginning Sunday night. The break isn’t expected to take longer than 72 hours.
User account balances will be 100% secured throughout the upgrade process, and all user setting and account information will stay the same.
No new download is required to access the new Barstool Sportsbook, and any pending wagers will automatically carry over once the new app goes live.
If you have a pending wager that you wish to cash out, the company advises you to do so by Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. ET.
