An Early Look at Boston Red Sox World Series and Futures Odds

Written By Connor Grootenhuis on February 6, 2023

The Boston Red Sox have one of the most loyal fan bases in all of sports. Those fans have another reason to be excited for the start of the 2023 MLB season, as sports betting in Massachusetts is now legal. Bets have to be placed in person right now, but MA mobile betting apps are expected to be live before the start of the 2023 MLB season.

At full capacity, baseball fans in Massachusetts will have plenty of options when it comes to betting on Red Sox games.

The start of the MLB season is still a few months away, but it’s never too early to start looking at Boston Red Sox betting odds in Massachusetts.

Boston Red Sox Betting Odds

The Red Sox finished last season with a record of 78-84 and missed the playoffs. However, it is a new season, and the team is gearing up for a successful 2023 campaign.

Betting odds for individual games are not yet available, but you can place MLB and Red Sox futures bets, including wagers on the Red Sox to win the AL East, American League pennant, and World Series.

The best value on the Red Sox to win the World Series is on BetMGM Sportsbook, where Boston is +8000 to go all the way. Their odds to win the AL pennant range from +2800 on DraftKings to +3500 on FanDuel, BetMGM, and Caesars. Their AL East division odds range from +1800 to +2000.

Another avenue of MLB betting in the futures market is win total bets. With these types of wagers, you can bet on a specific team to go over or stay under their listed total. Boston’s win total for the season is 77.5 on DraftKings, and 78.5 on FanDuel, BetMGM, and Caesars.

Retail sports betting in Massachusetts has been live for a week now. Bets can be placed at three Massachusetts casinos: MGM Springfield, Encore Boston Harbor, and Plainridge Park Casino. All three facilities accept Red Sox bets, and MLB bets in general.

Betting in person is certainly a great experience, but the launch of MA mobile betting apps will take the industry to the next level in Massachusetts. No official launch date has been announced, but mobile betting could launch in late February or early March.

At full capacity, Massachusetts could feature up to 15 mobile sportsbooks. So far, 11 sportsbooks have been approved by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC). They are:

  • PointsBet
  • Bally Bet
  • Betr

All of these platforms are sure to offer MLB betting odds for all 162 regular season games, as well as the playoffs and World Series.
